SUN DESCENDS To Release New Album In April

March 16, 2008

New York City thrashers SUN DESCENDS, who feature in their ranks former EXUMER vocalist Mem von Stein, will release their new album, "The Entropy Formula", in April via Khaosmaster Productions (Puerto Rico). The artwork will feature an illustration by Sean Taggart.

The first song from "The Entropy Formula" is available for streaming on SUN DESCENDS' MySpace page. The six-minute track "3 Corners of Hell" is the group's first new material to surface in the two years since the band's first full-length release in early 2006.

Commented Mem von Stein: "The music on SUN DESCENDS' new album is as relevant as the music on 'Possessed by Fire', which I recorded with EXUMER back in 1986. Let's just hope that the thrash frenzy of today won't be exploited as it was in the '80s, causing thrash metal to come to a creative full-stop. Otherwise I am amazed at the comeback thrash metal has made and I am very hopeful that the new SUN DESCENDS album will be received positively."

SUN DESCENDS recently announced the addition of bassist KO Thunder to the group's ranks. Hailing from Istanbul, Turkey, Thunder joined the group this past summer.
